The eight kootas are Varna, Vashya, Tara, Yoni, Graha Maitri, Gana, Bhakoot, and Nadi. They total 36 points. In the report this site writes, 18 or more is described as acceptable, 24 or more as good, and 28 or more as excellent. Those bands are the product's own labels for the count. They are not a guarantee of a marriage.

Do not add the 36-point score to a synastry percentage and call the sum a scientific result. They are not in the same units.

Kootas that use the nakshatra will move if the Moon changes nakshatra. That can happen when the birth time is off by enough to shift the Moon, and it can happen when the zone offset is applied twice. A summer birth in America, Europe, or Australia needs the daylight-saving rule of that place and year. A birth in India does not, because Asia/Kolkata does not shift.

If one family has a certificate and the other has a remembered hour, say which is which. Run the remembered hour at the edges of the window before you treat 28 points as a stable fact.

Mangal Dosha is read from Mars in certain houses. A wrong lagna moves Mars's house. The dosha check is then a check of the wrong chart.

Start with the total, then the kootas that scored low, not with a single word such as perfect. Bhakoot and Nadi are the rows families worry about. A low score there is a topic for a person who knows the system, not an automatic refusal printed by a website.

Then look at the two lagnas and the two 7th lords on the sidereal charts. The koota total does not describe career, health, or a date for the wedding. Those are other questions, and they need the individual charts and the dashas.
