Mars with Rahu Does Not Erase Kuja Dosha

Mars conjunct Rahu is Angarak yoga, heat plus the north node's hunger in one sign. If that sign is the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 7th, 8th, or 12th, Mangal dosha is present because of the house. Rahu does not carry Mars into a new house. The claim that the dosha is removed comes from a matching shortcut: Rahu is said to eclipse the planet it conjuncts, so some matchers stop counting Mars. The stricter reading keeps the Kuja test and adds Angarak. You now have a Manglik Mars and a conjunction, which is more chart, not less.

Ketu stands opposite. The eclipse story, if you want it, is a natal conjunction, not a transit that expires.

Matching wants a yes or no. A Mars that is both Manglik and joined to Rahu feels too complicated, so one label is thrown away. The conjunction can dominate the manner of the dosha: the heat becomes unusual, sudden, or hard to socialize. That is a change of style. It is not a cancellation. Jupiter's aspect still softens Mars only from the 5th, 7th, or 9th counted from Jupiter. Rahu is not Jupiter and does not cast that blessing.

Own-sign Mars, Aries or Scorpio, or exalted Mars in Capricorn, remains the dignity softener. Rahu beside an exalted Mars is Angarak with a capable Mars, still in whatever house Capricorn is.

Mars mahadasha is 7 years. Rahu's is 18. Both activate the pile, and Rahu-Mars antardasha inside the 18 is the overlap. If the dosha had been removed, those years would not still be about Mars. They are. Read the 7th lord separately. A clear 7th lord beside an Angarak Mars in the 8th is a marriage lord intact and an 8th-house fire. Dropping the Manglik label would have hidden the fire and kept the marriage lord, which is half a reading.

Tell the family the house is occupied and the conjunction is additional. That is the accurate removal: remove the false cancellation.
