Reading a Second Marriage

The 7th house is the first marriage. The house used for a second marriage is the 8th, because it is the 2nd from the 7th, together with the condition of the 7th lord. Dual signs, Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces, on the 7th or holding the 7th lord, and Mercury as the planet of doubling, are the combinations that describe more than one bond. A second marriage is a possibility in that pattern, not a scheduled divorce.

The Navamsa has to tell the same story. A birth chart that hints at two bonds and a D9 with one steady 7th lord often describes a disruption that did not become a second wedding.

Saturn, Rahu, or Ketu in the 7th can delay, detach, or make the first marriage unusual. That is not automatically a second marriage. You still need the 8th-house link or the dual-sign signature, and a dasha that can deliver a second 7th-lord event. Venus conjunct Rahu may describe an unconventional first marriage rather than two of them.

Mars in a Kuja house is Mangal dosha, a heat in the match, not a second-wedding yoga. Keep the lists separate. The 2nd house of family can also be examined because a remarriage re-enters the household, but the primary count used here is 2nd from the 7th.

The first marriage is timed by the 7th lord or Venus. A second bond needs a later antardasha that again activates the 7th lord, Venus, or the 8th lord. Venus mahadasha, 20 years, is long enough to hold both if the chart supports both. A single short Sun mahadasha of 6 years rarely contains two weddings unless the life was already pointed there.
