The worst mahadasha for love is the mahadasha of the planet that occupies the 7th or afflicts the 7th lord, not a fixed name. Ketu in the 7th makes Ketu's 7 years the detached chapter, with Rahu in the lagna. Saturn in the 7th makes Saturn's 19 years the delayed chapter. Rahu in the 7th makes the 18 years unconventional and restless rather than simply cold. A chart with an empty 7th and a strong 7th lord does not have a worst love dasha waiting under Ketu's name.

Venus mahadasha is usually the love-capable period, 20 years. It becomes the worst only when Venus is the afflicted planet: debilitated in Virgo, combust, or conjunct a node in a bad house.

Romance can fail in the 5th lord's period while marriage is intact, or the reverse. A Saturn dasha that delays proposals is a 5th-house story if Saturn aspects or owns the 5th, and a marriage story if Saturn owns the 7th. For Cancer lagna Saturn owns the 7th, so the 19 years are directly marital. For Taurus, Saturn owns the 9th and 10th and is yogakaraka, a poor candidate for worst-for-love unless it also sits in the 7th.

Check the guest lord before you condemn the container. The reverse is also true: a Saturn mahadasha can contain a Venus antardasha in which a delayed marriage finally happens.

Name the planet on your 7th, note its year-count, and see if those years are now. That is the worst love period for you, if you have one.
