Where Vastu Yantras Belong
There is no single nail for every yantra. The worship diagram belongs with worship. A commercial vastu plate belongs to the direction it claims to treat.

The 4th house is not a wall
A yantra is a geometric diagram hung for a direction of a building. Putting one on a wall does not move the 4th lord, who marks the home in the birth chart, and a strong 4th lord does not tell you which nail to use. The two systems meet only at the word house.
A Sri Yantra, the Shakti diagram, is kept where worship happens, commonly the northeast puja area, treated as a sacred object rather than as a sticker for a defect. A generic vastu-dosha plate is a different object, and its seller's direction is part of that product, not a rule of the lagna.
Direction follows the complaint
If the complaint is the northeast, the worship corner is already the place to clean and to keep sacred objects, not a second yantra on the opposite wall. If the complaint is a kitchen, the traditional kitchen direction is the southeast. Hanging a diagram there does not rebuild the stove. Use the yantra, if you use one, in the zone you are actually addressing, and do not cover every wall because the packet contained eight plates.
Rahu and Ketu are not assigned a mandatory yantra wall in the birth chart. Their houses are known from the kundli. A diagram does not move them.
The chart's remedy is the lord
For an unsettled home, read the 4th lord's dignity and dasha. A 4th lord in the 8th times disruption in that lord's period. A yantra on the door does not change the period. Jupiter's aspect on the 4th can describe support. That aspect is in the sky of the birth, not in copper.
Keep one clean worship corner if you want a diagram at all. Leave the other walls alone. Then judge the 4th house as a jyotishi, which is the system that can name a mahadasha.
Frequently asked questions
Where does a Sri Yantra go?
In the worship corner, commonly the northeast, kept as a sacred object. It is not a sticker for every defect.
Does a yantra move the 4th lord?
No. The 4th lord stays in its sign. The yantra is a floor-plan custom, not a dasha.
Should every direction get a yantra?
No. Address the direction you are actually complaining about. Eight plates do not correct a 4th lord in the 8th.
