Low Mangal Dosha and High Mangal Dosha

Low and high are later grades of how many times Mars repeats the Kuja houses, which remain the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 7th, 8th, and 12th. They are not a second classical list. They are a later grading of how many reference points repeat the placement. Counted only from the lagna, the dosha is the lighter grade people call low or partial. Counted again from the Moon and from Venus, so that Mars is Manglik in more than one of those three charts, the grade is called high.

The planet has not become a different Mars. The objection has more witnesses. A degree of closeness to a cusp is sometimes sold as the difference. That degree is not fixed in the older rule, and this page will not invent one.

Inside a single reference, Mars in the 7th touches the marriage house directly, and Mars in the 2nd touches family and speech. A low grade in the 7th can matter more for marriage than a high grade whose only Kuja house is the 12th from the Moon and nowhere from the lagna. Grade and house are different columns. Read the house first.

Mars in Aries, Scorpio, or exalted Capricorn softens the grade people fear, at any level. Jupiter's aspect, from the 5th, 7th, or 9th counted from Jupiter, does the same. Neither one converts high into a blank chart.

A high Manglik chart beside another high Manglik chart is the customary cancellation of the objection. A low chart beside a clear chart is a smaller mismatch than a high chart beside a clear one, and it is still a mismatch of Mars, not a reading of the 7th lord. Venus, Jupiter as husband significator in a woman's chart, and the Navamsa outrank the adjective.

Do not pay for a remedy priced by the word high. Coral strengthens Mars. It does not lower a grade.
