Swati Nakshatra and Rishabha Lagna

Swati is a Rahu nakshatra that lies only in Libra, with Vayu as its deity. Rishabha lagna is Taurus. A birth star of Swati means the Moon is in Swati, so the Moon is in Libra, and Libra is the 6th house from Taurus. The mind sits in the house of conflict, service, debt, and competition, in a Venus-ruled sign, under Rahu as nakshatra lord.

Life opens in Rahu mahadasha. The full period is 18 years. The balance is the remainder, longer if the Moon is early in Swati. Jupiter, 16 years, follows that remainder. Venus, the sign lord and the lagna lord, is the planet the Moon has to live with while Rahu runs the clock.

For Taurus, Venus rules the 1st and the 6th. The Moon in Swati is therefore in the other sign of the lagna lord. The person and the conflict house share a ruler. That can look like a capable handler of disputes, medicine, law, or service, or like a mind that turns every day into a contest. Venus's dignity decides which. Venus exalted in Pisces is a strong lagna lord even though the Moon is in the 6th. Venus debilitated in Virgo weakens the lord who must manage both houses.

Saturn is yogakaraka for Taurus, ruling the 9th and 10th. Swati's story is not Saturn's story, but Saturn's 19-year mahadasha is the other long period this lagna cares about.

The 7th from Taurus is Scorpio, so the marriage lord is Mars. A Swati Moon in the 6th does not describe the spouse. Mars in a Kuja house would. Rahu, the star lord, describes the opening years and whatever house Rahu itself occupies, which is not fixed by Swati. The Moon's nakshatra and Rahu's house are different points.
