Mahabhagya Yoga in the Kundli
Mahabhagya is a daylight and gender rule about three odd or even signs. It is not a generic lucky yoga.

Day, night, odd, even
Mahabhagya yoga requires three placements to share a parity, and the parity depends on who was born and when. For a male born in the daytime, the Sun, the Moon, and the lagna must all fall in odd signs: Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius, or Aquarius. For a female born at night, the Sun, the Moon, and the lagna must all fall in even signs: Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn, or Pisces.
A man born at night with odd signs, or a woman born by day with even signs, does not complete this yoga. The rule is strict about time of day and about all three points. Two out of three is a different chart.
What the yoga is said to do
Classical description gives a fortunate, respected course and a nature that wears well, the sort of bhagya the name points at. It does not print a post, a fortune, or a marriage date. The 9th lord and Jupiter still describe fortune. The 10th lord still describes work. Mahabhagya is a condition on the Sun, the Moon, and the lagna together. If the lagna lord is debilitated, the yoga's person is born into a weaker 1st house and the yoga does not cancel that debilitation.
The dasha still times events. A mahabhagya chart in Saturn mahadasha experiences Saturn's 19 years, with the yoga as background dignity rather than a pause button.
Easy ways to mis-see it
Odd and even are signs, not nakshatras. A Moon in Magha is in Leo, an odd sign, whatever the pada. The lagna must be judged in the sidereal zodiac. A tropical rising sign can flip the parity and invent the yoga, or hide it.
Birth in the daytime means the Sun was above the horizon, which is a lagna calculation, not a guess from the clock hour without the place. Jyothish uses the city and the zone offset for that horizon. If the birth time is rounded to the hour, the lagna sign can be the neighboring one, and Mahabhagya appears or vanishes with it.
Frequently asked questions
Does Mahabhagya work for every birth at noon?
A man born by day still needs Sun, Moon, and lagna in odd signs. A woman needs a night birth and even signs. Noon alone is not the yoga.
Do two odd signs out of three count?
No. The Sun, the Moon, and the lagna all have to match the required parity.
Does the yoga replace the 9th lord?
No. Fortune is still the 9th and Jupiter. Mahabhagya is an additional condition on the lights and the lagna.
