Jupiter Conjunct Ketu, Not Guru Chandal

Rahu enlarges. Ketu cuts and interiorizes. Jupiter with Rahu inflates doctrine, teachers, and sometimes hypocrisy, which is why it picked up the Guru Chandal name. Jupiter with Ketu tends the other way: a belief that wants less, a teacher who leaves, a child-theme that is spiritual or sparse. The house picks the department. In the 9th, dharma itself is Ketu-colored. In the 5th, children and learning are. In the 10th, the career turns away from ordinary status. Rahu will sit opposite, enlarging the far house while this one thins.

Jupiter exalted in Cancer with Ketu is a strong guru under a detaching guest. Jupiter debilitated in Capricorn with Ketu is a weak guru with the same guest, a harder belief. Ketu also gives results through the sign lord. If they sit in Libra, Venus hosts them. If they sit in Aries, Mars hosts them. A weak host makes the detachment harder to use. A strong host makes it a skill: research, mantra, a narrow expertise. The 5th house already includes mantra. Ketu there can support practice and still delay the ordinary 5th-house topic of children. Jupiter remains putrakaraka, so children are not abandoned as a subject.

Ketu mahadasha lasts 7 years and is the sharp chapter for this conjunction. Jupiter's 16 years are the longer chapter, with Ketu's antardasha inside them as the concentrated slice.
