Raja Yoga Types: Kendra With Trikona

Kendras are the angular houses and trikonas the trines. The 1st house is both, so the lagna lord has a head start. When the 9th lord sits with the 10th lord, the yoga has a name of its own, dharma-karmadhipati, fortune's lord with career's lord. Conjunction, mutual aspect, or exchange all count. The planets change with the lagna. For Cancer, the 9th lord is Jupiter and the 10th lord is Mars. For Libra, the 9th lord is Mercury and the 10th lord is the Moon. A list that always credits Jupiter is describing a Cancer chart and calling it universal.

These need one of Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, or Saturn in its own sign or exaltation, and in a kendra from the lagna. Mars gives Ruchaka, Mercury Bhadra, Jupiter Hamsa, Venus Malavya, Saturn Sasa. The Moon and the Sun do not form this set. Exaltations are Mars in Capricorn, Mercury in Virgo, Jupiter in Cancer, Venus in Pisces, Saturn in Libra. Own signs are the two each of those five owns, except Jupiter's and Venus's exaltations are not their own signs. The planet must also be in an angle. An exalted Saturn in the 2nd is a strong Saturn and not Sasa.

Gaja Kesari is Jupiter in a kendra from the Moon, a lunar angularity, not a kendra-trikona lordship. Viparita raja yoga is a dusthana lord in a dusthana, Harsha, Sarala, or Vimala. Neecha bhanga raja yoga needs a real cancellation of debilitation, not mere success. All of these fruit in the dasha of the planets that form them. A raja yoga of the 9th and 10th lords during a mahadasha of the 3rd lord waits. The type is the geometry. The decade is the delivery.
