Venus Transiting Scorpio

Gochar Venus in Scorpio lasts on the order of a month, longer if Venus retrogrades there. Everyone with a chart experiences that sky. The natal question is which house Scorpio is. From a Taurus lagna, Scorpio is the 7th, so transiting Venus crosses the marriage house. From a Cancer lagna, Scorpio is the 5th, so it crosses romance and children. From a Sagittarius lagna, Scorpio is the 12th, so it crosses expense and private life. One newspaper line for all Scorpio Venus transits has erased the twelve possible houses.

Classical gochar is often counted from the natal Moon, not only from the lagna. If your Moon is in Aries, Scorpio is the 8th from the Moon, and Venus's transit there is 8th-house weather: other people's money, a bind, a private crisis of comfort. A Venus transit over the 7th during Venus mahadasha, 20 years, or during the 7th lord's antardasha, can mark a marriage season. The same transit during a 12th-lord bhukti is a month of Venus-colored expense or distance. Do not schedule a wedding from the transit alone. You still need a tithi that is not rikta, a preferred nakshatra, Venus not combust, and a fixed lagna for the hour.
