Brahma Hatya Dosha and the 9th House

Some pages require Jupiter with Rahu. Some require a wounded 9th house. Some tell a story the chart cannot check. Because those recipes disagree, this page will not declare a birth chart guilty of a named hatya yoga. What can be read, in every kundli, is the 9th lord's house, Jupiter's sign, and whether Rahu joins either of them. Jupiter with Rahu has its own name in common use, Guru Chandal, which is a conjunction about belief and the teacher, not a police charge. Keep the names apart.

A 9th lord in the 6th, 8th, or 12th strains dharma, the father, and the guide. Rahu in the 9th unusualizes the same house. These are chart conditions with ordinary meanings: a non-traditional teacher, a difficult father-theme, a belief that does not sit quietly. They are not evidence of a killing, and this page will not describe any act of harm. Remedies sold for the name usually collapse into a 9th-house puja or a Jupiter Thursday. Jupiter mahadasha lasts 16 years. Rahu's lasts 18. If neither is running, and the 9th lord is not the antardasha lord, a fear attached to this dosha is out of season. Marriage is affected only if the 9th lord or Jupiter also joins the 7th. Otherwise the 7th house remains its own reading, with Venus and the Navamsa. Use the headline only as a reason to look at the 9th. Then drop the headline and keep the house.
