Gemstones for True Love

True love in a kundli is Venus, the karaka of union, and the 7th house, the place of the spouse, and a list of five gemstones is not a third authority beside them. Diamond is Venus's navaratna. It is worn when Venus is weak and its role in the chart is helpful, not because a shop has ranked it beside four other jewels. For a man's chart Venus is the wife karaka. For a woman's chart the husband karaka is Jupiter, whose stone is yellow sapphire, so the same 'love gem' is already the wrong graha if the question is the husband. The 7th lord can be neither of them. A Mesha lagna has Venus as 7th lord. A Vrishabha lagna has Mars as 7th lord, and Mars's stone is coral. Five universal love stones erase that difference.

If the 7th lord is Mercury, the gem question, when there is one, is emerald, and only after Mercury is judged a friend of that lagna. If the 7th lord is Saturn, the conversation turns to blue sapphire, which is the stone most likely to disturb a chart when Saturn rules a dusthana. Buying diamond, pearl, coral, emerald, and ruby together because a page said they attract love strengthens five grahas at once, including grahas that have nothing to do with the 7th. Love that has not become marriage is also the 5th house, romance and children of the heart. A 5th-lord gem and a 7th-lord gem are not interchangeable. People who want a partner and people who want a courtship are asking two houses.

Navamsa shows whether Venus and the 7th lord can carry a bond. A Venus that is strong in the birth chart and fallen in D9 is a poor candidate for a diamond meant to 'open the heart.' The timing of meeting someone is the Vimshottari period of the 7th lord, of Venus, or of Jupiter where Jupiter is the husband karaka. A stone does not create that period. It, at most, supports a graha whose period has arrived. No nakshatra of birth hands out five lucky love gems, and no weekday makes all five safe. If the chart has not been cast, the honest purchase is none.
