The 7th Lord for Each Lagna

Aries lagna has Libra as the 7th, lord Venus. Scorpio lagna has Taurus as the 7th, lord Venus again. For these two, the 7th lord and the kalatra karaka are the same planet, so Venus's condition is the whole marriage question. Taurus has Scorpio, lord Mars. Libra has Aries, lord Mars. Mars as 7th lord is a marriage planet even before Mangal dosha is considered. Gemini has Sagittarius and Virgo has Pisces, both Jupiter. Cancer has Capricorn and Leo has Aquarius, both Saturn, so delay and duty are Saturn's style of marriage for those two lagnas.

Sagittarius lagna has Gemini as the 7th, lord Mercury. Pisces has Virgo, lord Mercury. Capricorn has Cancer, lord Moon, the only lagna whose spouse-lord is the Moon. Aquarius has Leo, lord Sun, the only lagna whose spouse-lord is the Sun. The Moon's 10-year mahadasha or the Sun's 6-year mahadasha is then a direct marriage chapter, which it is not for the other ten lagnas. Mercury's 17 years play that role for Sagittarius and Pisces.

Knowing the lord is the start. A Venus 7th lord in the 12th is a distant or costly marriage. A Saturn 7th lord in the 10th ties the spouse to career and brings Saturn's pace. The Navamsa repeats or cancels the promise. Birth time and city decide the lagna, and daylight saving can move it, so the 7th lord's identity can change if the time is wrong by one sign. Cast the lagna before you pick a paragraph from the pairs above. The pairs are the map. The chart is the house that lord actually occupies.
