Kaal Sarp: All Grahas on One Side of the Nodes

Rahu and Ketu are always opposite. The seven grahas either crowd into one half of that opposition or they do not. Popular lists name varieties from the house Rahu occupies. The names differ by source, so this page will not crown a set of twelve stories. The usable fact is the house. Rahu in the 1st colors the body and the start of life. Rahu in the 10th colors the career. Ketu will stand in the 7th or the 4th in those two examples, and that opposite house is part of the same picture.

Rahu gives much of its result through the lord of the sign it occupies. Kaal Sarp in a Saturn sign is carried by Saturn. In a Venus sign it is carried by Venus. The life area is the house, the style is the dispositor, and the years are Rahu's mahadasha of 18 years or Ketu's of 7. Outside those periods the yoga is a shape in the chart, not the chapter you are living. A partial version, with one graha across the axis, is a different chart and should be called partial if it is called anything.

Temple visits, daan, and a disciplined Saturday or a Rahu-related observance are personal conduct. They do not place Jupiter on the other side of Ketu. The practical work is to read the dispositor and the running dasha. If the mahadasha is Mercury's 17 years and Mercury is not the dispositor and not on the nodal axis in a special way, the Kaal Sarp headline is louder than the period. Fear lists about snakes and blocked fate add a story the house count does not require.
