Business Yoga: 7th Lord With the 11th Lord
Mercury is the karaka of commerce, the 7th house is trade and partners, and the 11th house is profit. A business yoga is the 7th lord and the 11th lord in contact, not a single lucky planet.
The market and the surplus
The 7th house is the other party: customers, partners, and the bargain. The 10th is the work itself. The 11th is the gain after the work. A person can work hard from a strong 10th lord and still leak the result through a 12th lord that outruns the 11th. The yoga people mean by business success is narrower than fame. It is the 7th lord joined to, aspecting, or exchanging with the 11th lord. Mercury's condition shows whether the books and the speech of trade can carry that yoga.
Which planets are being over-credited
Jupiter in a kendra supports wisdom and expansion, and it is not by itself a shop. Venus supports comfort, luxury goods, and art businesses when it connects to the 7th or the 10th. Mars can run land, machinery, and kitchens, because Mars is bhumi and fire, again only when it rules or occupies the trade houses. Rahu in the 11th is cited for unusual gains, with the dispositor deciding whether the gain is usable. None of these replaces the 7th-and-11th link.
The dasha is the trading year
The yoga pays, if it pays, during the mahadasha or antardasha of the 7th lord or the 11th lord. Mercury's mahadasha lasts 17 years and is the long commercial chapter when Mercury is that lord or is tied to them. A Jupiter transit over the 11th is a season inside that chapter. It is not a revenue figure. The chart will not print a turnover. Cast the lagna from the birth city before you name the 7th lord, or you will plan a business around the wrong graha.
