Solar Eclipse and Rahu in the Chart

Rahu is the north node and Ketu the south node. They stand seven houses apart, which is half the zodiac. A solar eclipse needs a new Moon, Sun and Moon together, close to that axis. A lunar eclipse needs a full Moon near the same axis. The birth chart uses a wider test. Sun and Rahu in the same sign are called a grahan combination even when the Moon was somewhere else and no one saw the Sun go dark. A solar eclipse next month is a transit event. It matters to a person when it falls on a natal planet or on the natal Moon's sign, and even then it is weather inside the mahadasha, not a new kundli. Do not time a wedding or a surgery fear from the eclipse alone. Marriage remains the 7th lord's period.
