Second Marriage in the Birth Chart

The 7th house is the first marriage. The 8th from any house shows what ends it. Eight houses from the 7th land on the 2nd. So the 2nd house, its lord, and planets sitting there are examined when someone asks about marrying again. A malefic in the 2nd, or the 2nd lord in the 6th, 8th, or 12th, is the sort of condition texts cite. It can also describe family money and speech, which are the ordinary meanings of the 2nd. Context decides which meaning is awake.

Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces are dual signs. A 7th lord placed in one of them is a second, separate hint, because dual signs do two things. Two planets in the 7th are a third hint people cite. None of these is a decree of divorce. The Navamsa has to show a broken or repeated 7th of its own before the birth-chart hint is treated as strong. One yoga in the rashi chart, with a clean D9 7th house, is often a delay or a difficult patch inside one marriage.

A second union, when the chart supports it, is timed by the Vimshottari period of the 7th lord, of Venus, or of the 2nd lord. Venus mahadasha lasts 20 years. A short antardasha inside another mahadasha can be the actual window. Saturn aspecting the 7th, by its 3rd, 7th, or 10th aspect, more often delays the first marriage than it schedules a second one.
