A Rashi's Weak Point Is Its Debilitated Graha
The weak point of a rashi, in dignity language, is the graha debilitated there: the Sun in Tula, the Moon in Vrishchika, Mars in Karka, Mercury in Meena, Jupiter in Makara, Venus in Kanya, and Saturn in Mesha. A person with the Moon in that sign is not the debilitated graha. Makara rashi means the Moon is in Saturn's sign, where Jupiter, if also placed there, would be debilitated. The Moon itself is debilitated only in Vrishchika. Confusing the sign's guest with the Moon is how rashi faults become insults.

Debilitation is a guest, not a soul
Every sign is somebody's own sign or exaltation at the same time. Makara debases Jupiter and exalts Mars, and Saturn is at home. Kanya debases Venus and exalts Mercury. Tula debases the Sun and exalts Saturn, while Venus is in moolatrikona. The fault columns that list a character flaw per Moon sign are describing Saturn's mood on a Makara Moon, or Mars's mood on a Vrishchika Moon, and then calling it a kami. The real kami of the sign is the debilitated visitor. If that visitor is not in the sign, the fault is not active. A Makara Moon with Jupiter in Karka has an exalted Jupiter elsewhere. The Moon is still Saturnian. Jupiter is not fallen.
Cancellation exists
Neecha bhanga, cancellation of debilitation, is classically considered when the lord of the debilitation sign, or the graha that would be exalted in that sign, is in a kendra from the lagna or the Moon. The details vary by school, so a public page should not declare a cancellation from a rashi name alone. It should say the fallen graha can be lifted, and the chart has to be cast. A fallen Venus in Kanya during Venus's twenty-year mahadasha is a real theme of strained agreements. A cancelled Venus is a different theme. The rashi fault list never checks the kendra.
Read the person, not the poster
The lagna lord's dignity outweighs a Moon-sign slogan. A debilitated lagna lord is a heavier kami than a Moon merely sitting in a sign that could host someone else's fall. Jyothish SI shows both dignities from the birth time. Use the debilitation table as the honest meaning of a sign's weak point. Retire the habit of assigning a moral defect to every Chandra rashi. The Moon in Vrishchika is the one Moon that is itself debilitated. That sentence is specific. The others are about guests who may not be home.
Frequently asked questions
Where is each graha debilitated?
Sun in Libra, Moon in Scorpio, Mars in Cancer, Mercury in Pisces, Jupiter in Capricorn, Venus in Virgo, Saturn in Aries. Exaltation is the opposite sign in this list.
Does a Makara Moon mean a fallen Jupiter?

Can debilitation be cancelled?
Neecha bhanga is considered when the debilitation lord, or the graha exalted in that sign, is in a kendra from the lagna or the Moon. The full chart has to be seen.
