Separation Yoga: 6th Lord Joined to the 7th Lord

The 6th house rules litigation, debt, enemies, and daily conflict. Its lord carries that portfolio into whatever house he occupies. When that lord sits with the 7th lord, the marriage portfolio and the quarrel portfolio share a room. When they aspect, the special sights matter: Mars sees the 4th, 7th, and 8th from himself, Jupiter the 5th, 7th, and 9th, Saturn the 3rd, 7th, and 10th, and every graha sees the 7th from its own seat. An exchange of the 6th and 7th signs locks the two houses even more tightly, a parivartana of conflict and partnership. Venus afflicted by the same 6th lord deepens the theme because Venus karakas the bond.

Mars in the 7th is Mangal dosha, a heat and delay flag, and it is not automatically a 6th-lord yoga. The 6th lord might be Mercury, for a Makara lagna where the 6th is Mithuna, and Mercury conjunct Venus as 7th lord would be the separation pattern for that chart. Another lagna gives the 6th to a different graha. Publishing one combination as universal ignores the rising sign. D9 can refuse the rashi yoga: a dignified navamsa 7th often describes a marriage that fights and stays. A broken D9 7th agrees with the rashi quarrel. Both charts of a couple belong in the file, because one person's 6th lord does not divorce a strong 7th in the other chart.

Look at the mahadasha or antardasha of the 6th lord and of the 7th lord. If the 6th lord is Saturn, the window is inside nineteen years. If the 7th lord is Venus, inside twenty. Their mutual antardasha lasts the product of those years divided by 120. A quarrelsome antardasha can be followed by a repairing one. This yoga is not a court judgment and not a reason to leave. It is a timing flag for dispute. Counsel and the actual marriage remain outside the ephemeris. Jyothish SI will name the two lords after the lagna is cast with Lahiri ayanamsa.
