Mahadhan Yoga: 2nd Lord and 11th Lord

The 2nd house is the family vault: speech, food, and stored money. The 11th is income, gains, and the network that pays. Jupiter is the natural karaka of wealth, Venus of luxury and agreements. A 2nd lord in the 11th, or an 11th lord in the 2nd, is the plainest dhana tie. Aspect counts, and Saturn, Jupiter, and Mars have special aspects beyond the 7th, so a lord can connect the two houses without sitting in either. Calling the pattern Mahadhan is fair when the lords are also dignified. A debilitated tie is a thinner yoga and should be named as such.

Lakshmi yoga asks for a strong lagna lord and for the 9th lord in its own sign or exaltation, placed in a kendra or a trikona. That is prosperity through fortune and the self, not the 2nd-and-11th formula. Chandra Mangala, Moon conjunct Mars, is yet another wealth combination, hot and fluctuating. Piling every wealth yoga into one nickname hides which lords will actually run. Mahadhan, if you keep the word, stays with the 2nd and 11th, helped by the 5th and 9th. D9 should show those lords with some dignity, or the rashi yoga over-promises.

Income is judged when the dasha belongs to the 2nd lord, the 11th lord, Jupiter, or the 9th lord if he joins them. Jupiter's mahadasha is sixteen years. Venus's is twenty. Rahu's eighteen years can swell an 11th-house matter because Rahu amplifies the house he occupies, including gains if he sits in the 11th. Antardasha length is still years times years divided by 120. No degree of Jupiter is invented here, and no sum of money. Jyothish SI will name the lords after the lagna is cast with Swiss Ephemeris. The yoga is a structure, not a balance.
