Lakshmi Aarti, Chalisa, and Mantra

Lakshmi's aarti, the Chalisa, and the short Lakshmi mantras are worship texts, and a wealth period they are chanted in is the Vimshottari dasha already running. The aarti is sung with the lamp, usually at the shrine in the evening. The Chalisa is a longer praise in the vernacular, structured as a devotional poem rather than as a graha calculation. A short mantra is what you can count on a mala. This page does not reproduce those texts. They are learned from a family book or a priest, and copying a hymn here would not make it yours. The astrological question is when any of them is a remedy rather than a habit. The answer is a named Venus, or a named 2nd or 11th lord, during that planet's bhukti.

Stored wealth is the 2nd house. Gains are the 11th. Career that feeds them is the 10th and its lord. Venus is the karaka most often paired with Lakshmi, exalted in Pisces and fallen in Virgo. Jupiter is the other wealth karaka, and Thursday worship of Vishnu or Lakshmi-Narayan is a different door from Friday. If your tight year is a Saturn mahadasha and Saturn rules neither money house, a longer Chalisa will not retarget the dasha. If debt is the wound, open the 6th house before you lengthen the hymn. Friday remains a fit day because it is Venus's day. Diwali, Kartik Amavasya, remains the great public Lakshmi night on the Lahiri lunar calendar. Both can be kept whether or not a remedy is indicated. The remedy claim is the part that needs the chart.

The sustainable benefit is a cleaner relationship to money and a regular shrine, plus support for a planet the chart has named. It is not a figure of income. Diamond, Venus's stone, is not implied by knowing the aarti. The stone waits for its own naming, and it is a poor idea when Venus rules the 6th, as it does for Sagittarius lagna. Recite what you actually know, at a steady hour, and keep the 2nd lord's condition in view. When that lord's dasha gives way to a kinder one, the household books change for chart reasons. The lamp can stay lit. The lamp did not become the 11th house.
