Comic Timing Is Mercury and the 5th House of Performance

Comic timing is a Mercury subject, and the 5th house is the stage of performance, play, and intelligence. Mercury rules speech and mimicry of ideas. The 3rd house is the skill of delivery and the courage to perform. Venus adds pleasing art. A comedian the public loves may have any combination of these, or a strong 10th lord who simply kept him visible. Visibility is the 10th and the Sun. Humor is not the Sun. Assigning Satish Kaushik a Budha-Aditya yoga or a Mercury mahadasha because he was funny works backward from the applause. This page will not state his placements. They are not known from the role.

Mercury mahadasha lasts 17 years and can carry a speaking career if Mercury is strong and rules useful houses. It is one candidate among others. The Moon's 10 years can carry a performer whose stock is feeling and timing. Venus's 20 can carry an entertainer. Without the nakshatra at birth, choosing among them is fiction. A wrong birth time by half an hour can change the lagna and the 5th lord. India uses Asia/Kolkata without daylight saving, so the zone is not the missing piece. The clock is. Two articles that list his yogas from a guessed morning are two invented charts.

Fix the lagna. See Mercury's sign, especially Virgo for strength or Pisces for fall. See whether Mercury joins the 5th or the 3rd. See whether the dasha of Mercury, the 5th lord, or the 10th lord covered the working years. If Saturn aspects Mercury, the humor may be dry and the career slow, which is a real pattern and still not a pattern you may glue to a name. The respectful use of a public life is as an example of the houses, not as a false ephemeris. Comedy remains craft. The kundli remains uncast until the time is real.
