Seeing a Love Marriage from the 5th and 7th Houses

Love marriage is read when the 5th house of romance and the 7th house of marriage exchange lords, or when one of those lords sits in the other's house. That parivartana, or that single placement, ties attraction to a bond. A busy 5th house with no contact to the 7th can be a love story that never becomes a marriage. A strong 7th with no 5th contact can be an arranged match or a marriage that did not grow out of courtship. Read both lords before you name the yoga.

Venus with Rahu, or Rahu with the 7th lord, is the combination associated with a marriage outside the expected family pattern. It can mean a different community, a foreign partner, or a bond that formed in an unusual way. It is not proof by itself. Rahu has no sign of its own, so its dispositor has to be able to carry the result. If that dispositor is the 5th lord, the unconventional bond and the romance house meet.
