How Sun-Rahu Grahan Yoga Is Formed

Look at the Sun's rashi. If Rahu's rashi is the same, the yoga exists. If Rahu is in the next sign, it does not, even if a software orb looks close. Whole-sign conjunction is the rule on these pages. The yoga does not require a visible eclipse on the birthday. Eclipse dates are a sky event. This is a natal occupancy. It also does not require Ketu. Ketu will stand opposite Rahu, seven signs away, and is not part of the Sun's conjunction unless the Sun were there, which it cannot be if it is with Rahu. One Sun, one sign.

In the 10th the eclipse figure sits on career, and the Sun has directional strength there, so the result is a loud, complicated public life. In the 9th the father karaka sits in the father house with Rahu, the pitra-sensitive version. In the 1st the person wears it. The dispositor modifies all three. The Sun in Simha disposits itself, a proud version. The Sun in Tula is debilitated, and Venus, ruler of Tula, is the carrier of a fallen Sun plus Rahu. Rahu mahadasha, 18 years, is the long activation. The Sun's own mahadasha is only 6. The Sun-Rahu antardasha inside those 6 years is 10 months and 24 days. That slice is the sharpest solar season, not the whole life.

Sunday is the Sun's vara. A discipline of attention toward the father-karaka and toward authority is coherent. It does not move Rahu out of the sign. Ruby feeds the Sun and can feed the eclipse figure louder. Hessonite feeds Rahu directly. Neither is a solvent. If the 9th is involved, ancestral observance such as tarpan near Amavasya is the traditional accompaniment, not a deletion. The life result remains the house: career, father, self, or whichever bhava the sign is. Read that house. Leave the conjunction where birth put it.
