Start at the 7th. Count to the 4th: that is the 10th of the birth chart, the spouse's schooling and sense of place in this method. Count to the 5th: that is the 11th, the spouse's intelligence and certificates-as-skill. A strong 10th lord can describe a spouse with a structured education even when your own career house is the same lord, so you must not confuse your job with their schooling. They share a graha and not a life. Mercury conjunct the 7th lord, or Mercury aspecting the 7th, leans the spouse toward speech, accounts, or study. Mercury debilitated in Meena weakens that karaka. Jupiter aspecting these houses adds counsel. None of this is a university name.

Navamsa shows the marriage fruit. A 7th lord dignified in D9 supports a capable partnership, which may include education and may include character instead. If your birth time is rough, do not trust D9 for a spouse's credentials. The rashi 10th and 11th lords are sturdier. The other person's own chart, if you ever have a real birth time, is the actual education reading: their 4th, 5th, and Mercury. Your derived houses are a sketch made from your lagna. Treating the sketch as their transcript is a misuse.

People mix 'educated' with 'high status.' Status in your chart is still your 10th, which in this method is also their 4th, so the mix is easy and should be resisted. Their public rank, as 10th from the 7th, is your 4th house. A strong 4th can be a spouse with standing, or your own home, and you have to say which question you asked. The dasha of the 7th lord is when the spouse topic, including these derived houses, is awake. Outside it, you are reading a natal sketch during a decade about something else.
