Jupiter's Udaya and Exaltation in Karka

Karka is Jupiter's highest sign. When Jupiter occupies Karka, by birth or by transit, it is in exaltation, disposited by the Moon. Makara is the fall, disposited by Saturn. Calling a season 'Guru uday' without saying which sign Jupiter is in confuses a rising with a dignity. A risen Jupiter in Makara is still fallen.
