Kaal Sarp: All Seven Grahas on One Side of the Nodes

Rahu and Ketu are opposite. The shorter arc between them is one semicircle of signs, the longer is the other, but because they are opposite the two arcs are equal: six signs each way. All seven grahas must occupy the signs strictly to one side, not sitting with the nodes in a way your school counts as outside. Schools disagree about whether a graha conjunct Rahu or Ketu breaks the yoga. State the rule you are using. What is not controversial is the core: a planet standing clearly on the other side of the axis means this is not the full yoga. Partial versions are talked about in modern articles. They are partial. Do not give them the full name and then the full scare.

Popular lists name the yoga by Rahu's house: Anant when Rahu is in the 1st, Kulik in the 2nd, Vasuki in the 3rd, Shankhpal in the 4th, Padma in the 5th, Mahapadma in the 6th, Takshak in the 7th, Karkotak in the 8th, Shankhachud in the 9th, Ghatak in the 10th, Vishdhar in the 11th, Sheshnag in the 12th. The names are labels for Rahu's bhava while the seven are hemmed by the nodes. They are not twelve different species of doom. Rahu in the 10th under this yoga inflates a career that is lived inside a nodal enclosure. Rahu in the 12th inflates a foreign or private life inside the same enclosure. Read the house as you would read any Rahu, then note that no star-planet escaped the axis.

The enclosure is natal. It is felt most in Rahu's 18 years and Ketu's 7, when the boundary lords run. A Jupiter mahadasha of 16 years still belongs to Jupiter's houses, which happen to lie inside the axis. Jupiter does not stop being Jupiter because it is on one side of the nodes. Remedies marketed as cutting the serpent do not move a graha across the axis. If you want a useful statement, say which house Rahu occupies, whether any graha is conjunct the nodes, and which dasha is running. Leave the terror poster. The 7th house, the 10th, and the lagna lord still have their own jobs inside the pattern.
