Rahu Antardasha Inside Jupiter Mahadasha

Jupiter is counsel, dharma, children, and the houses it rules from the lagna. Rahu is amplification and obsession, and it owns no sign, so it speaks through its dispositor. During this antardasha the native lives Jupiter's houses with Rahu's volume. If Jupiter and Rahu are conjunct, the sub-period is a Guru Chandal season: wisdom and compulsion in one room. If they are not conjunct, Rahu still runs, but it runs from its own house. Decisiveness is not a classical signification of either graha. A person can become more decisive because Rahu pushes a Jupiterian choice into public view, or more scattered because Rahu multiplies options. The house tells you which.

Rahu in the 10th during a Jupiter mahadasha makes the career louder and stranger, which can look like changing one's mind about work. Rahu in the 5th makes study, children, or speculation louder. Jupiter ruling the 9th and occupying a kendra keeps a moral frame around Rahu's noise. Jupiter debilitated in Makara gives a weaker frame, so Rahu's antardasha has more room to wander. None of this is a diagnosis of a mental condition. It is a description of which house is overstimulated for 2 years, 4 months, and 24 days.

Inside Jupiter the antardashas run Jupiter, Saturn, Mercury, Ketu, Venus, Sun, Moon, Mars, Rahu, in the standard sequence starting from the mahadasha lord. Rahu is late in Jupiter's 16 years. After Rahu comes the end of the mahadasha only if Rahu is last. In the sequence above, Rahu is the final antardasha of Jupiter, and Saturn mahadasha follows the whole Jupiter period, not the Rahu slice. Knowing you are in Jupiter-Rahu tells you the mahadasha is near its close. It does not tell you that judgment has collapsed. Look at Jupiter's sign before you accept that story.
