Do Rahu and Ketu Cancel Debilitation?
Neecha bhanga is a cancellation claimed for a debilitated graha when its dispositor, or the lord of its exaltation sign, sits in a kendra from the lagna or the Moon, or when the debilitated graha itself is in such a kendra. Rahu and Ketu are not named in those clauses.

Who is debilitated, and where
The seven debilitation signs are fixed. The Sun falls in Tula, the Moon in Vrishchika, Mars in Karka, Mercury in Meena, Jupiter in Makara, Venus in Kanya, Saturn in Mesha. Rahu and Ketu do not appear on that list. Some later writers assign the nodes exaltation and debilitation signs of their own. That assignment is not required for neecha bhanga, and this page does not treat it as Parashari. A node sitting on a debilitated planet is a conjunction with a fallen graha. Conjunction is not one of the cancellation clauses.
The clauses that do the cancelling
Take Saturn in Mesha, its debilitation. The dispositor is Mars, because Mars rules Mesha. The exaltation lord of Saturn is Venus, because Saturn exalts in Tula. Neecha bhanga is argued if Mars is in a kendra from the lagna or the Moon, or if Venus is in such a kendra, or if Saturn itself is in a kendra. Saturn in the lagna in Mesha already occupies a kendra, which is why that one placement is cited as a cancellation and a debility at the same time. Rahu aspecting Saturn, or Ketu joining Saturn, does not substitute for Mars or Venus.
Cancellation is not exaltation
Even a granted neecha bhanga does not promote the graha to its exaltation sign. Saturn remains in Mesha. The cancellation is a legal rescue inside the yoga rules, and schools argue how much strength returns. Rahu's gift, when it is real, is amplification of the sign it occupies, which can make a debilitated neighbor louder rather than rescued. Read the dispositor. If Mars is strong and angular, say the bhanga. If only the node is present, say the conjunction.
Frequently asked questions
Does Rahu in a kendra cancel every fallen planet?
A kendra Rahu is a placement of Rahu. The cancellation clauses ask for the dispositor or the exaltation lord of the fallen graha, or for the fallen graha itself in a kendra. Rahu's house does not fill in those names.
Is Ketu's opposite position a form of bhanga?
Ketu stands opposite Rahu. That geometry is always true. It is not a debilitation rule and not a cancellation of someone else's fall.
Which signs are the falls?
Sun in Tula, Moon in Vrishchika, Mars in Karka, Mercury in Meena, Jupiter in Makara, Venus in Kanya, Saturn in Mesha. Memorize those seven. The nodes are extra.
