Causes of Pitri Dosha

The ninth house is dharma. The Sun stands for the father. Popular practice names Pitri dosha when Saturn, Rahu, or Ketu pressures the ninth or the Sun. The exact combination is not identical in every manual, so the cause is that family of placements, not a story about a forgotten ritual you cannot verify. The sixth house is conflict and debt. Ordinary loans are not this dosha. The eighth is longevity. A death in the family is not, by itself, the cause.
