Capricorn Career Horoscope

A Capricorn career, if Makara is the lagna, is read from the 10th house in Tula, and the 10th lord is Venus. Venus also rules the 5th, Vrishabha, so Venus is yogakaraka, a kendra lord and a trikona lord together. That double duty would be false for Leo lagna, where Venus rules the 3rd and the 10th and is not yogakaraka, because the 3rd is not a trikona. Saturn, ruler of Makara, is the lagna lord and also rules the 2nd, Kumbha. The self and the family wealth are Saturnine: slow, structural, serious. The profession's flavour is Venusian: agreements, arts, counsel, markets of beauty or balance, according to Venus's condition. A fallen Venus in Kanya makes the career lord weak. An exalted Saturn does not repair that, because Saturn is not the 10th lord.

Many career notes address Capricorn as a birthday. On a Lahiri chart the Sun is in Makara only during the weeks of that solar transit, not for everyone born in January by a tropical table. The lagna on those days still changes every two hours. A Makara Sun with Karka lagna has the Moon's sign rising, and the 10th is Mesha, ruled by Mars, not Venus. The ladder people attribute to 'Capricorns' has moved. Saturn's reputation for climbing is real when Saturn is strong in the chart, and it is a reputation, not a job title. Government work needs a solar link to the 10th. For Makara lagna the Sun rules the 8th, so the Sun is a tense career significator, more crisis and authority's shadow than a simple state post. Do not hear 'Capricorn' and assume a ministry.

Venus mahadasha lasts 20 years and is the long chapter in which this lagna's career lord can actually build. Saturn's 19 years build the self and the 2nd house, which may support the career or merely make the person endure. A Venus antardasha inside Saturn can be the more precise window. The 10th being an upachaya means effort compounds, which is the respectable part of the ladder image. It does not promise a rank. If Venus is in the 12th, the work may be foreign, behind the scenes, or expensive to maintain. If Venus is in the 11th, gains have a more direct path. D10 refines this after the rashi chart. A weekly career note for the sign cannot see Venus. Without the birth time, Makara lagna itself is only a hypothesis.
