Are Horoscopes Accurate
Accuracy is a birth instant, not a mood. The same calendar day in two cities, or two hours apart, is two charts.

The lagna is the accuracy test
Horoscopes are accurate when the lagna is accurate, and the lagna moves about every two hours, so a reading that uses only the birthday is answering a different question. Two children born on the same date in different cities do not share a zone offset. Daylight saving changes the offset again, and with it the ascendant. A tropical sun-sign note and a Lahiri kundli can place the Sun in neighbouring signs because of the ayanamsa. That is not a small disagreement about personality. It changes which graha rules the 10th once the lagna is known. Jyothish SI calculates the sidereal positions with Swiss Ephemeris from the geocoded city. If the clock time on the certificate is wrong by half an hour, the finest ephemeris will faithfully draw the wrong chart. Accuracy begins with the record, not with the software.
What the chart is accurate about
A serious kundli is accurate as a map of houses and periods, not as a script of next Tuesday. The 7th house and D9 speak about marriage. The 10th speaks about work. The 6th speaks about conflict and debt. Vimshottari speaks about when those houses are loud. None of these produce a percentage, a medical diagnosis, or a stranger's name. People call horoscopes inaccurate because a daily note for their sun sign failed. That note never had their lagna. People also call them inaccurate when a jyotishi guessed a birth time and then predicted from the guess. The failure belongs to the guess. A chart with a hospital time, a known city, and a Lahiri lagna can still be read badly. The tool is not the interpretation. Ask which house was used. If the answer is 'Leos are like this,' the reading has not started.
A phone reading that skips the time
The question is about the chart, not about a phone reading that asks for a sign and a crisis. A call that never takes the birth city cannot apply the zone offset, so it cannot defend the lagna. Paid detail such as extra divisional charts comes after a free kundli exists. It does not rescue a missing time. Rectification, guessing a time from life events, is a specialist argument and should be labelled as uncertain. Until it is certain, do not wear a gem for a lagna lord you only hope is yours. The accurate use of the horoscope is modest and checkable: this lagna, this 10th lord, this dasha, these years. If those pieces are in place, the horoscope is accurate enough to think with. If they are not, no prose style will make it so.
Frequently asked questions
Why do two charts for the same day disagree?
Time and place change the lagna, and daylight saving changes the offset. A tropical sign and a Lahiri sign can also differ. Same day is not the same chart.
Can a horoscope name a future event's date?
It can narrow a season to a dasha calculated from the Moon's nakshatra. A precise date still needs that calculation. It should not be invented.
Are daily horoscopes the same system?
A daily note sorted by sun sign does not use your lagna, your 7th lord, or your dasha. It is a different product from a kundli.
