Anuradha, the Seventeenth Nakshatra

Anuradha is the seventeenth of the twenty-seven nakshatras. Its Vimshottari lord is Saturn, whose mahadasha lasts 19 years when the Moon's sequence reaches it. The deity associated with it is Mitra. All four padas fall in sidereal Scorpio, from 3 degrees 20 minutes to 16 degrees 40 minutes of that sign. Scorpio's rashi lord is Mars. A Moon in Anuradha is therefore a Saturn nakshatra inside a Mars sign. That double rulership is the trait worth knowing. It is not a health profile, and this page will not invent one.

Marriage is the seventh house of the whole chart, not of the nakshatra. A Moon in Anuradha can care about loyalty, which fits Mitra's name, and still have a damaged seventh lord.
