Nadi and the Other Mismatch Scores
Same Adi, Madhya, or Antya nadi zeros the eight Nadi points. Bhakoot and Mangal are different findings. None of them is repaired by five shortcuts.

Name the factor that failed
Nadi dosha is a shared nadi in the eight Ashtakoota factors, and it costs the eight Nadi points, yet the 7th house and the D9 Navamsa remain the marriage reading. The twenty-seven nakshatras cycle through Adi, Madhya, and Antya. Ashwini is Adi, Bharani Madhya, Krittika Antya, and the pattern repeats. Two Moons in the same group score zero for nadi. That zero is the finding most families mean when they say the kundlis are badly mismatched, because eight points is a large hole in a thirty-six point total. It is still one factor. Bhakoot, worth seven, compares Moon signs. Mangal dosha is Mars in the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 7th, 8th, or 12th and is not an Ashtakoota point at all. A single 'mismatch dosha' that does not say which of these three it is has not been read.
There are not five easy erasures
A shanti rite exists in family custom for some of these scores, as with Bhakoot. It does not move the Moon into another nakshatra. Nadi in particular is treated by many priests as the factor they are slowest to 'remove,' which is consistent with the method: the Moons stay where they were born. Cancellation stories exist, including different nadis that were miscalculated because the birth time was rounded, and including a marriage in which both charts carry Mangal dosha. Recalculating with a true time is not a remedy. It is a correction. Inventing five easy steps, a thread, a coconut, a mantra, a donation, and a stone, pretends the score is a stain. The score is arithmetic. The marriage is the two 7th houses.
What to do with a real zero
Open both D9 charts. If they support the 7th lords, tell the family that the nadi zero and the marriage charts disagree, and let adults decide with that disagreement in view. If the D9 also fails, the nadi zero is not the main problem and a nadi shanti would be aimed at the smaller wound. Check the Vimshottari dashas. A couple whose 7th lords are both active is in a marriage season regardless of the guna total. A couple whose dashas are elsewhere may be forcing a wedding the clocks do not want, and the mismatch becomes the excuse. No gemstone repairs nadi. A stone follows a named planet. Same nadi is not a planet. Keep the factor's name accurate, keep the 7th and the D9 in the sentence, and retire the promise of five easy exits.
Frequently asked questions
Is Nadi dosha the end of a match?
It zeros eight points. It is not the 7th house. Some families stop there. The charts can still support the marriage, and they should be allowed to say so.
Can a one-minute birth-time change remove it?
Only if the Moon was actually near a nakshatra boundary and the recorded time was wrong. Shifting a true time to escape a label produces a false dasha.
Does the same Moon sign always share a nadi?
No. A sign holds more than one nakshatra, and the cycle of Adi, Madhya, and Antya continues inside the sign. Same sign can be different nadi.
