Gemstones for March-Born People

March-born people, on a Lahiri sidereal chart, have the Sun in Kumbha. The sidereal Sun enters Meena in April, weeks after the tropical ingress that popular calendars call the start of Pisces. A list of four lucky gemstones for March therefore aims at a month, not at a rashi, and the rashi it almost names is Aquarius, ruled by Saturn. That fact would be false for a January birth, when the Lahiri Sun is still in Dhanu or early Makara, and false for a birthday after the April ingress, when the Sun is in Meena, ruled by Jupiter. The month on a birth certificate is not a gemstone key.

Kumbha's lord is Saturn, and Saturn's navaratna is blue sapphire. Wearing it because the Sun was in Aquarius in March skips the lagna. For a Kumbha lagna, Saturn rules both the 1st and the 12th, so strengthening Saturn strengthens a dusthana lord as well as the lagna lord. For a Tula lagna, Saturn rules the 4th and the 5th and is yogakaraka, a different judgement. Two March birthdays can have those two lagnas on the same afternoon, two hours apart. They do not share a stone. Red coral, emerald, or pearl do not become 'the other three' by being pretty beside sapphire. Each belongs to Mars, Mercury, or the Moon.

The graha that can justify a gem is the lagna lord if it is weak and benefic in role, or the lord of the Vimshottari mahadasha if that period is the one asking for support. The Sun in Kumbha tells you the Sun's sign. It does not tell you the mahadasha, which begins from the Moon's nakshatra. A March-born person can be running Jupiter, Venus, or Rahu. Their stones, yellow sapphire, diamond, and hessonite, have nothing to do with a March table. If the question is only 'what should I buy,' the honest answer is that the chart has not been cast. The birth time and the city decide the lagna. The month cannot.
