Vedic astrology for a Slough birth on British Summer Time
Vedic astrology for a Slough birth runs on Europe/London, like London, even though Slough lies outside the London boroughs. Slough still changes to British Summer Time, and writing London as the birth city would select the wrong place even when the zone name matches. Berkshire is not a reason to invent another offset. Locate Slough, then apply the Europe/London offset in minutes before the Julian day.

Outside the boroughs, inside the zone
Slough is not Harrow, not Southall, and not a London borough. It still takes British Summer Time when London does, because the zone is Europe/London. A summer birth here uses the summer offset. A winter birth uses the winter offset. The place name is what stops the locator treating the birth as the capital.
Chart factors once Slough is located
The sidereal positions use the Lahiri ayanamsa and Swiss Ephemeris. Marriage is read from the 7th house, its lord, and D9 Navamsa. Career is read from the 10th house and its lord. Timing uses the Vimshottari dasha already running. No dasha year is guessed for Slough births as a group.

Frequently asked questions
Does Slough leave Europe/London because it is outside the London boroughs?
No. Vedic astrology for a Slough birth uses Europe/London, like London, and the clocks move to British Summer Time. The borough boundary does not create a new zone.
Why is typing London a mistake if the zone name matches?
Because the locator will find London, not Slough. The zone string can read Europe/London for both, and the birth city on the certificate is still the one that has to be used.
Does British Summer Time affect the Slough lagna?
It can. The summer offset changes the minutes applied before the Julian day. Ignoring it can move the lagna for a birth while the clocks are forward.
