Nashville · TN, USA
Nashville vedic astrology and Tennessee's split clock
Nashville vedic astrology uses America/Chicago, Central time with daylight saving, in Davidson County. The same wall clock hour in Knoxville or Chattanooga is Eastern time, so a 4 p.m. birth in Nashville is not timed like a 4 p.m. birth in those eastern Tennessee cities.

Middle Tennessee is not the east
The east of the state, including Knoxville and Chattanooga, uses America/New_York. Nashville uses America/Chicago. Memphis is Central as well, and it is still another city. 'Tennessee time' is not a zone you can type. The birth city is. Daylight saving applies on the Central clock in Davidson County.
Four in the afternoon, two ways
A 4 p.m. lagna in January is standard Central time. In July, 4 p.m. is daylight time, and the rising sign may differ. Marriage is then the 7th, its lord, and the Navamsa of whichever instant was real. Using the Eastern offset from Knoxville would build a third chart that belongs to neither month.
Name the city and draw it
jyothish.si geocodes Nashville, applies America/Chicago, and can draw the Kundli free. Chat is part of that account. A PDF, more divisional charts, or WhatsApp transit alerts are paid. The split inside Tennessee is handled by the city name, not by a guess from the state.

Frequently asked questions
Why not use Knoxville's zone for Nashville?
Knoxville is Eastern, America/New_York. Nashville is Central, America/Chicago, with daylight saving. A 4 p.m. birth is not the same instant in both.
Where does marriage sit in the chart?
In the 7th house, its lord, and D9 Navamsa. Daylight saving can move the lagna that holds them. The Eastern offset from the east of the state is the wrong fix.
Can I draw the Kundli free?
Yes, and you can chat about it, on jyothish.si. A PDF, extra divisional charts, and WhatsApp transit alerts are paid.
