Denver vedic astrology, where altitude is not the zone
Denver vedic astrology casts the birth on America/Denver, Mountain time with daylight saving for the city and county of Denver. Colorado does not choose that zone by elevation, and a 3:30 p.m. summer birth is Mountain daylight time rather than the year-round offset Arizona keeps.

A mile up, a normal zone rule
The chart does not add a correction for thin air. It uses America/Denver, observes daylight saving, and geocodes the city and county. A 3:30 p.m. birth in July is daylight time. In January those digits are standard time. Elevation is not an ayanamsa and not a second clock. Those two afternoons are an hour apart, and the city and county do not get a third offset for height.
July here is not July in Phoenix
Phoenix stays on America/Phoenix and does not spring forward. Denver does. Two births at 3:30 p.m. on the same July day, one in each city, are not the same offset. Copying a Phoenix chart onto a Denver birth feeds the Navamsa the wrong instant. Build the Denver chart on Mountain daylight time.
Navamsa after the summer offset
Marriage uses the 7th, its lord, and D9, and only after that Mountain offset is in. A free Kundli at jyothish.si can show the birth chart and the Navamsa. Chat can take the question. A PDF and WhatsApp transit alerts are paid.

Frequently asked questions
Does elevation change the Denver zone?
No. The zone is America/Denver with daylight saving. Altitude is not an input to the lagna.
How is a July afternoon here unlike Phoenix?
Denver is on Mountain daylight time. Phoenix stays on America/Phoenix with no summer change. The offsets differ.
What is D9 used for?
Navamsa, read with the 7th house and its lord for marriage. It needs the Mountain offset first.
