Albuquerque vedic astrology, unlike Arizona's steady clock
Albuquerque vedic astrology uses America/Denver, Mountain time with daylight saving, for Bernalillo County in New Mexico. Arizona, next door, does not spring forward. A noon birth in Albuquerque in July has already taken the daylight offset, which a Phoenix noon that month has not.

This state does change the clocks
America/Denver here includes daylight saving. A July noon is Mountain daylight time. A January noon is Mountain standard time. Bernalillo County does not keep Arizona's year-round offset. If you moved from Phoenix or Tucson, leave that habit behind. An Albuquerque birth springs forward. Those two noons are an hour apart, and the winter offset is not the July one. Bernalillo County springs forward with New Mexico, not with Arizona.
Noon is not immune
Marriage work is the 7th, its lord, and D9. Noon feels like a round number and still moves by an hour between January and July. The Navamsa can show that. Build the summer chart on the daylight offset. Lahiri places the planets after the zone minutes, not instead of them.
Do not force both births onto one zone
A parent born in Phoenix and a child born in Albuquerque need two rules. jyothish.si geocodes each city. The free account can cast each Kundli and chat. A PDF and WhatsApp alerts are paid. America/Phoenix is the wrong string for Bernalillo County in summer.

Frequently asked questions
Does New Mexico skip daylight saving?
No. Albuquerque uses America/Denver and observes daylight saving. Arizona is the neighbor that does not change clocks.
How is a July noon unlike Phoenix?
This noon is Mountain daylight time. Phoenix stays on America/Phoenix with no summer change. The offsets differ.
What sits beside the 7th for marriage?
Its lord and D9 Navamsa. They need the Mountain offset that was in force, daylight or standard.
