Vedic astrology in Abu Dhabi, not typed as Dubai
Abu Dhabi uses the zone called Asia/Dubai for vedic astrology, UTC plus 4 with no daylight saving, while the place to geocode remains Abu Dhabi. The zone's name is not permission to type Dubai. Both cities share an offset that does not change in summer. A birth recorded in Abu Dhabi and entered as Dubai keeps the right clock and the wrong place.

The zone name and the city field
Asia/Dubai is the IANA zone for Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah. It tells the chart how many minutes to apply before the Julian day. It does not tell the geocoder which emirate held the birth. Enter Abu Dhabi and the local time. Do not also convert that time into Indian Standard Time first. The software applies the offset. A pre-converted hour gets a second shift.
Indian Standard Time is a different birth
Parents who grew up on Asia/Kolkata sometimes store the Abu Dhabi birth as IST in a family book. The hospital used UTC plus 4. Those are not the same instant. If the only written time is already converted, convert it back to Abu Dhabi local time before you enter the city, or enter neither and say the instant is unclear. Daylight saving will not explain the gap, because neither India nor Abu Dhabi observes it.
Houses after the emirate is right
Career is the 10th house and its lord. Marriage is the 7th, its lord, and D9 Navamsa. Timing is the Vimshottari dasha already running, with no year invented for the move to the Gulf. Positions are sidereal under Lahiri, from the Swiss Ephemeris. A free account can generate the Kundli and chat once Abu Dhabi, not Dubai and not Mumbai, is the city.

Frequently asked questions
Why does vedic astrology call the Abu Dhabi zone Asia/Dubai?
That is the zone name. The offset is UTC plus 4, with no daylight saving. The birth city is still Abu Dhabi if the birth was there. Dubai is a different place.
Does Abu Dhabi change clocks in summer?
No. June and December use the same offset. Do not copy daylight saving from a European birth in the same family.
Can we enter Indian Standard Time if we select Abu Dhabi?
Only if that IST figure is first turned back into Abu Dhabi local time. Otherwise the chart applies UTC plus 4 to a time that is already on a different clock.
