Tarot is a reading of cards. Jyotish is a chart of a birth

Tarot and Jyotish answer different questions with different tools. A tarot reading lays out cards and interprets that spread. Jyotish computes the sky at a birth from the date, the clock time, and the place. Jyothish SI does not draw cards and does not pretend a spread is a Kundli. It calculates a sidereal chart with the Lahiri ayanamsa and the Swiss Ephemeris, then lets you ask about that stored figure.

What a card spread cannot know
A tarot spread does not contain your lagna, your Moon's nakshatra, or the Vimshottari period that is running. Those facts exist only after a time and a place are calculated. Shuffling cards can be a serious reflective practice for the person who uses it. It is not an ephemeris.
Apps that rank beside horoscope products and advertise tarot, including Sanctuary's mix of horoscope and card reading, are offering that second practice. If your question is which card came up today, this site will not answer it. If your question is what the 7th house and D9 say about marriage, a spread will not answer that either.
Keep the two sessions separate. A card and a chart can both be interesting. Treating them as one document creates a false precision.
What this site computes instead
You enter the birth date, the local clock time, and the city. The zone offset, including daylight saving where that zone uses it, is applied before the Julian day. The planets are placed with the Swiss Ephemeris on the sidereal zodiac, Lahiri ayanamsa. The result is a D1 chart, divisional charts including D9, and the dasha sequence counted from the Moon's nakshatra.
Marriage is read from the 7th house, its lord, and the navamsa. Career is the 10th house and its lord. Timing follows the dasha already running. A free account can generate that Kundli and chat on the stored chart. Paid plans add a PDF, more divisional charts, and WhatsApp transit alerts.
None of that is a prediction that a particular event must happen in a named month. The chart is a structured context. The chat is not a substitute for the calculation.
Why people search tarot and astrology together
The English-language app stores put tarot, psychic, and birth chart in neighbouring keywords. Sanctuary is filed under horoscope and tarot. Co-Star is filed under birth chart and natal chart, in the tropical style. AstroSage is filed under kundli and kundali. A person can arrive at any of those words and mean my own birth, not a daily card.
If that is your intent, use the birth data. If you wanted a card for the afternoon, this is the wrong tool, and saying so is more useful than inventing a spread.
There is no Ahrefs export behind this page. The overlap above is what public app-store keyword pages show for those products, not a claimed search volume for this domain.
How to use a chart after you have looked at cards
Write down the question you actually have. Marriage, work, money, health, and timing are not one question. Open the house that matches it. Do not ask the chart to repeat a card's story, and do not ask a card to confirm a lagna you have not calculated.
If the birth time is uncertain, the lagna is the first thing to test. A shift of under two hours can change the ascendant's sign. Cards do not detect that. The chart does, once you try the other time.
Read transits only after the birth chart and the dasha. Saturn's current sign is a sky fact. It is not a tarot trump, and it is not your whole life.
What we will not claim
This site does not read palms, cards, or dreams. It does not name a future spouse, a medical diagnosis, or a degree you did not compute from a real time. It does not say that refusing tarot makes a person more rational, or that using tarot makes a chart false. They are different instruments.
The brand on jyothish.si is the same calculation under another host name. The rename is not a claim that the software is a superintelligence, and it is not a claim that a card reading has been added.
If you want the Kundli, enter the birth. If you want cards, use a tarot practice and keep it labelled as cards.

Frequently asked questions
Does Jyothish SI read tarot cards?
No. The tool computes a sidereal Kundli from date, time, and place, using Lahiri and the Swiss Ephemeris. A card spread is a different practice and is not offered here.
Can tarot replace a birth time?
No. The lagna depends on the clock and the place. Cards do not contain that calculation. If the time is unknown, say so. Do not borrow a card to fill the hour.
Is Sanctuary the same kind of app?
Sanctuary is marketed with horoscope and tarot. This site is a Vedic chart and a chat on that chart. The words sit near each other in app stores. The methods do not.
Where do I start if I only know my Sun sign?
A Sun sign is not a Kundli. Enter the full birth data if you have it. The sidereal chart will show lagna, Moon, houses, and dasha, which a Sun sign does not contain.
